NEW DELHI: India’s fourth-largest operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has done away with blackout days, it said in a statement.
This would mean that state-run telco’s customers can use voice and data services seamlessly in the New Year eve starting from December 31 to January 1, 2019.
The telco that operates pan India except for Delhi and Mumbai metropolitans said that there would no more blackout days in 2019.
“All consumers of BSNL mobile service will continue to get all the benefits of plans or special tariff vouchers while surfing or talking to their near and dear ones on New Year eve and New Year,” the statement added.
“BSNL is always proactive in offering benefits to its esteemed customers,” BSNL chairman Anupam Shrivastava said.
Shrivastava is however instrumental in enhancing the customer experience and has earlier started ambitious – Service with a Smile (SWAS) initiative— that led it to retain and add new subscribers at a time when Jio made its disruptive foray.
Consumers across circles can avail the benefits under the new program.
